Computer training for the over 55’s was first introduced into the Logan Central Community Centre in 2001 by the Safe and Confident Living Program. We have 6 up to date computers which also have ADSL internet access. The purchase of the equipment was made possible thanks to the generosity of Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund.
All the computers were updated last year (2006) thanks to the Community Renewal
program.
We are very fortunate that the computer training is conducted by volunteers who all have expertise in computers and training, which helps keep the costs to a very minimal fee, which in turn enables retired people affordable training and email contact with their family and friends who may be overseas.
